I am suffering massive computer problems at home, so my online presense will be spotty for the next few weeks.

The two meatloafs I've made have both turned out well, though the second one was a quantum leap forward in taste. I've discovered that using a lot of chopped up onion and being very liberal in spice usage impart a lot of flavor. Though I am slightly disturbed by the nasty yellowish grease, which was probably due to the turmeric.

I didn't pick up anything at the farmers market yesterday (except for the dutch letter, which was very yummy). Which is sort of sad, but at least all of the walking around was exercise. I had been looking for ( Read more... )

I have radishes that are pretty much fully formed. Though, I'm going to wait until this weekend to harvest and hope that they increase a bit in size between now and then. Woot! It looks like a Trader Joe's is going to open in West Des Moines later this year.

I can't wait to grab a few 1lb packages of chocolate with almonds.

My wrist continues to hurt. So, I'm not icing it at night and taking pain pills (anti-inflammatories) so that it hopefully gets better sooner rather than later. Since it really sucks to have it hurt when I try moving it certain ways and doing any sort of weight lifting or resistance work is straight out. I swear that I'm not on the edge of my seat waiting. Jim Butcher's new novel Changes comes out today. I'm in line at multiple libraries for it and am waiting for the phone call or email that says one is waiting for me.
