My condolences.

And yes... that storm slammed right in through our open windows. I *was* thinking of the poor garage salers we had passed coming back from the wedding...

yeah. my dad heard the first thunderclap, ran upstairs to get the plastic sheeting, and by the time he got outside again (less than 5 minutes, probably under 2) it was pouring and everything was soaked. That bastard moved in quick!

And thanks, and don't worry. It was time. The whole fam-dambly felt that way. One of the easiest funerals I've ever been to, actually.

Heh, I was out in the middle of Moraine Hills park watching that storm come through (and being out in the middle of it for a few minues). It moved in real quick like.

1) When are you moving, and 2) Do you require manpower?

1)we are moving our stuff up the weekend of the 25th and 26th
2)absolutely, if there's any way you can make it that would be greatly appreciated. We are going to need several people just to load and unload the piano. Everything else we've pretty much got covered but it takes at least 4 (and I prefer more than that) to lift and carry that thing. Feel free to bring xtras
Besides, it's been too long since we've seen you

hmmm... there's a staff meeting for WindyCon on the 25th, but I'm fairly willing to blow that off. And you're right it's been way too long, that's part of the reasoning behind the offer. Might as well help out while visiting, no? At least you two will be significantly closer soon. And that makes me happy.

I'm gonna need directions emailed to me, whenever you have a chance. The address should be on my LJ profile.

much appreciated. We will be trying to talk more people into coming out to help so please feel free to twist any arms you can think of. We are pretty well completely broke, what with all the moving expenses, but I'm perfectly willing to cook/mix and serve food/drinks if people are willing to chip in for the supplies. We could turn this into a lot of fun if we try
