He looked like just another student spending an hour between community college classes sitting at the cafe surfing the web. He claimed the corner near the door-- the comfy one, the cushioned windowseat-- and set up a very plain-looking laptop on the table in front of him. When the waitress came by he ordered a warm (but not too warm, that would ruin it) chai, then put his feet up on the chair opposite him and began typing and clicking like a madman.

He was certain the rift was somewhere on this level, and he was beginning to think there was more than one. He would have to find it, isolate it, and close it. Then he would have to eliminate the irregularities. Or maybe not exactly in that order.

It wasn’t hard to find Gamma, really. Not with an implanted radar bouncing off the pink-haired girl’s brain like a nuke. And she made her way into the small internet café, and oh -- how typical, he was at the computer, like if she didn’t expect that coming. So with her newly purple-painted fingernails, she dragged over one of the ‘wheely’ chairs and straddled it, not long after spinning around on it like a ten-year-old (Without the weee’s, of course).

"We should just ask him to make us some soldiers, you know." Beta muttered completely out of the blue as her hands settled on the tip of the chair, chin resting against flexed out fingers as her gaze reached that of the chai tea. Honestly, she was proud to be in public with Gamma, as she would often think they were a very good-looking pair, and fingers coiled around the cup and gulped down half of the tea. And maybe a little over.

Of course he was sitting with his computer. He couldn't very well leave his work behind when there were this many problems. Hell, even in the quietest of times, he didn't leave his work behind. That's why there were quiet times.

He didn't blink when she downed his chai, only waved the waitress over and immediately ordered another. Only once that matter was settled did he address her suggestion. "I don't want to ask him for anything," Gamma said. "Especially if he hadn't noticed yet. We already have the Omega at our disposal. Why don't we use them?"
