I woke up at around 4am last night to the sound of a cat going crazy and then a big thud on my front door. I figured that a couple stray cats (who like to hang out on my porch) had gotten into a fight. I have a headache.

I have to "work" tonight.

And I have to make final revisions on my thesis tonight after work (because I can't use latex at work).

Well, I just completed my thesis - my first whole draft, that is. I'll be working on it up to the 25th, but at least all the content is now there. Yay.

My laptop just died today. I shouldn't complain, because it lived a long life, but this is a horribly inconvenient time for it to go. I've been backing up my work obsessively since I started writing my thesis, so I didn't lose but an hour of work, so that's good I guess. It's just that now I can only work at home, because I don't have enough room ( Read more... )

Two things that I have been REALLY looking forward to obtaining after graduation are a car and a dog. I've had my heart set on a Yaris and a Schnoodle, but I know that the Hyundai Accent would be cheaper and safer, and a puppy from a shelter would be cheaper and also be saving a dog's life. Do you ever wonder who they survey for the game show Family Feud? Also, since the answers seem to be write-in instead of multiple choice, it must be someone's job to read through all the surveys and tally these things up. That must suck.

I think I'm going to put off dealing with this until tomorrow.
