I cheered up, and things got worse...
My laptop just died today. I shouldn't complain, because it lived a long life, but this is a horribly inconvenient time for it to go. I've been backing up my work obsessively since I started writing my thesis, so I didn't lose but an hour of work, so that's good I guess. It's just that now I can only work at home, because I don't have enough room on my Purdue account to hold all my files that I need, and there aren't enough computers in my lab for everyone (and I didn't ever unofficially claim one since I always had my laptop). Plus, the lab computers are all Linux-based, and I don't think I have the time to learn LaTeX AND Linux while writing my thesis and preparing for my defense. So yeah... my life just got a little harder.
