I have realized that I am a coward for many years now. I hide it even from myself by saying that "I don't want to burden those that do care.".

Ever see the movie "Butterfly Effect", if not stop reading because I am about to throw some spoilers at you. In the director cut of it, in the end the main character realizes that no matter what he does, it is not possible to create good future. That he will, in some way, fuck things up so that something terrible happens. Confronted with this fact, he decided to go back in time when he was a fetus, and kill himself in the womb. On a side note, this nicely complements the other miscarriages his mother had, but that is beside the point.

Point being, is if you cannot fix what you most dislike, and if by trying to fix it you only cause more suffering, then what right do you have to do that? The only real solution is to end it before you start down this cycle of pain and torment.

Well you can't change the now (And by what your saying you think you can't change the future) but you can at least live.
Yeah I liked that movie found it quite sad.
I think I did cry during that one.

I think the world can be changed. And I think that it is people like you, people who have a reason to want it to change, that have the best chance of doing it.

What is it you really want? There are a lot of things people think they want, but deep inside they really don't.

It is the things you truly desire, that which lies deep in your heart, that you will have. Nothing else is within your power to acquire.

That is nice to hear, but the harsh reality of the world is that no matter what I think, want, or desire, it simply will not happen. One person cannot change the world, and those that have tried have all failed. Even those who gained a partial victory, the things that have been built become a corrupted shadow of the thing envisioned. Like our dear United States of America, this is no country of freedom, but a country of voluntary slavery. Where people are born into a poor class and are essentially stuck there so they can work as meaningless pawns to fuel a economy so those born into a higher position can live their dreams ( ... )

We both see that the world is a horrible place. The difference, I think, is that I maintain hope for a better world.

You see hope? I thought you hid in a world of false fantasy, trying to not be brought into the world. I recall you saying before, that you don't see why society is a big thing, and that all money is to you is a way for you to buy martial arts lessons.

I might be slightly out of line by saying this, but perhaps you have not gone out far enough into the world to have your hopes crushed.
