Yes, right, I know this, and yet--and yet, this just bothers me.

*nods* See, I could respect the storyline if then you got into Brennan getting into figuring out why this is hurtful and then either a) confronting Booth and not letting up until he understands what happened, and then they can actually maybe but probably not move past this as friends; or b) Booth refuses to entertain the idea that Brennan was right and this slowly poisons their relationship until it becomes intolerable to be around the other. Either of those would make perfect sense -- you won't see it, but it would follow the show's internal logic. (As it is, it is undergoing what I like to call Supernaturalization, in which five seasons of characterization are replaced in one episode when one of the main characters gets a lobotomy from the writers. ARGH.)

All of this, yes. Especially the part about the lobotomization. >_< And I would dearly love to see the sorts of scenarios you describe, but alas! These days I barely expect coherence from the scripts.

At least, just as on Supernatural, the leads are very pretty to watch.
