After a long, long time, I've finished my five-page American Romanticism paper. I like the theme I tackled; I just hope that there's an actual thesis somewhere in there. I'm never sure at three thirty.

Gah. Can't concentrate on fucking papers. Have eleven pages to write. Eleven. Didn't get enough sleep last night, will get less this, wrote not a word this weekend even though I'd meant to write at least one of the two papers yesterday, and then watched 24 and the Daily Show and The Colbert Report rather than dig in. You know what's the worst thing about wring papers about 800 page novels, besides the actual writing?

The fact that, even with Project Gutenberg allowing you to make text searches, it's still really hard to find concrete, useful quotes, compared to how easy summary is.

It's coming slowly.

I can honestly say I'm more prepared for finals than I was yesterday.

Unfortunately? I'm eighty-three words more prepared.

I think an interesting novel would be one in which Catherine of Aragon gave birth to a healthy son, instead of a healthy daughter.
