Hellsing OVA II again
It was even better than the first installment. The animation was top notch and the seiyuu are really excellent as well. I still don't like Luke Valentine's voice in any of them (anime or OVA in japanese or english), but the rest are perfect ( Read more... ) -
Hellsing II OVA released today
Hellsing II OVA was released today.
The animation is much more like the manga in the OVA, and it looks as if they're including Millenium in the OVA. Wish the anime proper had done so.
I do miss Yasushi Ishii's musical contribution, however. -
Shingetsutan Tsukihime
I have to respect that they told the story they wanted to, but I couldn't help but want more from this Anime. 12 episodes seemed far too short for such interesting characters. I wanted to know more about Ciel's past, her time as Roa, her defeat at Arcueid's hands, Arcueid's fall, The Tohno family's past, Shiki's family's past. I guess that's the ( Read more... ) -

Chevalier/Cowboy Ragtime Show
I watched the first episode of Chevalier this evening. It's well done. I had no idea what the premise was prior to watching it, so having some undead fight and a talking corpse in the final 2 minutes of a show set in 18th century France was a particular treat ( Read more... ) -
Shakespeare on the lake
I wish it were otherwise, but every modern reinterpretation of Shakespeare's work has made me cringe. This year the Foothill Theatre Company ruined Twelfth Night for me. Last year it was The Comedy of Errors. I now know that the presentation of Much Ado About Nothing I enjoyed 2 years ago was a fluke and that I need not trouble to check and see ( Read more... ) -

Respite!
I really have no idea why we suddenly had significant humidity in northern california, but having my clothes cling to me at 11pm at night was not pleasant.
That was my single biggest complaint about midwest weather - humidity. You do get to enjoy 4 seasons (4!!!!), however. -

I just ordered an unlocked treo 650. I'm hoping it's as simple as popping in the sim card.
