Shakespeare on the lake
I wish it were otherwise, but every modern reinterpretation of Shakespeare's work has made me cringe. This year the Foothill Theatre Company ruined Twelfth Night for me. Last year it was The Comedy of Errors. I now know that the presentation of Much Ado About Nothing I enjoyed 2 years ago was a fluke and that I need not trouble to check and see what they'll be performing next year.
The single biggest gripe I have is that it's a waste of a perfect venue. The lake is beautiful and the weather is great (if a bit chilly towards the end of the show). If they'd just stop pissing on Shakespeare's plays, It'd be great.
