It seems that Tenebrae, meaning "darkness" in Latin, is the least known of the Holy Week celebrations. Unfortunately, some parishes don't even seem to offer it anymore. These past few days have been beautiful; it feels as though spring is already here. Unfortunately, I've had to spend far too much time stuck in a dark theater rehearsing for the play which opens this Friday. I saw The Passion of the Christ on Wednesday, and I've spent a few days letting it sink in. It was definitely a good way to start off Lent. I think once the DVD comes out I'll force myself to watch it once a year around Lent. Well, I have been back from Kairos since Sunday afternoon, but I haven't bothered trying to write about it here. The retreat was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life.
