Really not going to effect who you think it's going to effect. The sky is not falling.

the sky is falling. it is already happening around here. a lot of stores seem to be selling off items from mom and pop operations they know will not be in compliance as of this feb.

while it remains to be seen what will happen with used sales of items produced before this date all items post the date will have to have an official seal of safety. that means people like my parents who in my youth made their own toys to sell would be breaking the law. yes, people like them will continue to do so but how can they ever make it 'big,' when no store will carry their product sans certification that only the mega toy companies will be able to afford now? would there be a fisher price if fisher price had to follow these guidelines when, i presume a fisher or price, began make toys in their woodshop?

it is bitterly ironic a law enacted to protect us from mindless off shoring toyopolies is effectively going to try and force us to only buy products from those very companies at a higher price. ridiculous.

This is just one more example of how we collectively as as a people have let the government weasel its way into our lives and traded our freedoms away for so called safety. Big government doesn't work! If the founding fathers were around today they would start another revolutionary war to get their country back!
