...to go see VNV Nation. They are remarkable craftsmen (can you call a musian a craftperson?), and they are comfortable being close to their audience, which was a surprise. Smaller venues make for a more rewarding experience. I saw Tears for Fears in the Worcester Centrum. Yuck. Saw the Ramones up close and personal in a tiny gym - much better ( Read more... )

LOL You're being wise. Some of us are taking the kids to soccer and going out to goth and techno clubs and boy is that crazy! This way you can avoid the dirty diapers and sick kids throwing up on you in the night, and enjoy yourself.

driving the kids to soccer, and driving "the kids" to an sca fighting event are remarkably similar.

When we got back from the Morraine after Pennsic and the ladies all piled out of the van, it was pointed out by someone in the neighboring camp that I *had* become a soccer mom 8-)
