The first part of the chapter was light and I loved it. The last part was so heavy that I wanted to run and scream at the boys. Get help? What in the hell is that supposed to mean? Come on Robert I need insight if you are going to tear into this even more. Or explanation.

Did I mention you are way to good of a writer? I swear you are trying to kill me. My heart is completely damaged so far. I see this panning out two ways either they avoid each other forever or something happens that allows them to work and be close. Currently following Hugh's line of thought, we'll be following the former for a long time. Great job!

Robert's side will come to light. Right now Hugh is so wrapped up in his own thoughts right now, his POV isn't allowing access to RSL's view. But it will definitely come. If I promise a good long talk between them, will that make you happy and give you something to look forward to? Hopefully these chapters aren't too frustrating--it's just that the dynamic between them has changed and it's a gradual thing, getting it back to where it was ( ... )

Yes, that would give me something to look forward too. As much as I complain, I do like angst as long as I know there is an ending were things are relatively okay. (I usually cheat and read the last few paragraphs when I'm reading an already written story. Shush, don't tell! *grins*) Gradual is great. Its realistic, something that I need to maintain after reading more fantasy going fic. And its nice to see someone else's version of "realism ( ... )

Wow, you gave RSL some real teeth. That's good BTW, it sounds IC, even though RSL is hard to peg sometimes.

It seems a bit unprofessional/cowardly to end their on-screen relationship, but every relationship has fall-out I suppose. I wonder what Jo's visit will do to them. I'm kinda cringing.

Loving the series :)

B/c the narrative is third person limited from HL's perspective, RSL's side has really stayed unclear for the majority of the fic. But it's safe to say he's been going through a lot too--he's just lost two people (Gaby and HL) he's been very close with, and up until now he's done a great job at holding it together and putting on a good face.

But that doesn't mean he's going to sit back and let HL start blurring lines again. There's still a lot of residual hurt left. RSL is VERY hard to capture--he does so few interviews!--but from what I've seen I think he could be very sharp-tongued if the situation so presented.

Ending h/w has a cowardly side, yes. On the other hand it's a defensive act on their parts to try and preserve this distance HL thinks they should have.

A turn in the plot is right around the corner. Stay tuned, and thanks for commenting! :)

Since a baby won’t really develop much as a character unto itself, but it will work as a catalyst for growth among other characters

Sing it, sista!

This is my favourite chapter so far. I loved the interaction between Hugh and Robert at the end; although I nearly had a conniption when Robert asked for a cigarette; NO BOBBY NO JUST SAY NOOOO! Also, ending their on-screen relationship? Actors don't really have very much say in what goes on - especially with regard to a major plot point like that. However, I'll overlook that for the sake of a greta narrative. Poor Robert. I want you to remix this whole thing from Robert's POV later XD

Well HL and RSL WANT to end it; but that doesn't mean their votes ARE going to carry that much weight. They do have some influence--they had the freedom to "choreograph" the physicality of scenes, and they were able to sway David once to continue the H/W storyline. As far as ending it goes, they do have some odds on their side: David had mentioned in the past that character relationships aren't meant to last significantly long, or else they risk monotony and bored viewers. But that's a chapter or so off, so I won't go into it more.

I would love to try RSL's POV for this, but honestly, I'm going to take a fanfic hiatus after this wraps up. I don't know what it is, the writing isn't coming as smoothly as it once was and I feel like I'm propping up my confidence with toothpicks. I need a change of subject. I'll probably focus a lot on travel writing and original stuff once my two-week roadtrip kicks off at the end of June. Hopefully that helps!

Thanks again for your comments. I really do value them so much!

"I think it’s officially Pimp Daddy F-to-the-Oreman.”
Omg. This is beautifully well written, well played, and perfecly in person for Robert and Hugh. Amazing.

Just a couple chapters left but a LOT of stuff is yet to happen. Glad you're keeping the possibility open. I will say this: HL and RSL will have a chance.

Thanks for commenting! :)
