Why are they so fixated on him? don't they have kids with actual problems to deal with?

I have no fucking idea at this point. It'd be one thing if he'd been making no progress but, frankly, he has been and the school district even admits as much. He graduated out of math support, he graduated out of reading support, he met and in some cases exceeded all their educational goals for advancement to first grade. He's just...very active and impulsive. Which they don't want to have to deal with but isn't, you know, an actual disability. It's pretty much a function of being SIX.

The private child psychologist probably intended to do a full evaluation. Until he found out your insurance wouldn't pay for it. Then he changed his approach and did only what he would actually be reimbursed for. Can't really blame him for that, I'm sure he's gotten burned countless times by insurance companies refusing to pay for work he's already done with regards to evaluations and so on. You KNOW how insurance companies are. So he checks ahead of time, finds out what they actually will pay for, and does that and no more ( ... )
