Do it. And/or arrange a meeting with her, you, and the principal to discuss your concerns.

She's not entitled to this medical information. She's also not the one who is in charge of Callan's academic progress etc.

I say do it. At the very least, have a meeting with the school's principal to see what he/she thinks about the matter. Perhaps he/she doesn't know that the school nurse is giving parents misinformation about their child's academic status, among other things.

I've had experience with this before, actually... people like that nurse will frequently make up things 'of concern' so they can justify keeping their positions within the school system.

A similar thing happened to my younger brother several years ago, when he was still in middle school. A counselor caused a big stir when she suggested that he be placed in a special education class, despite the fact that he was (and is) very capable of doing anything placed in front of him. But apparently the potent combination of neglecting to turn in homework, having sloppy handwriting, and possessing the attention span of a normal eleven year old is grounds for 'concern' and 'intervention'.

Either way, definitely see someone about it, or she'll stay on your case like white on rice.

Personally, I don't think that she even has the right to possess that information,

She doesn't, unless you sign a release. File a complaint, send a copy to the principal.

So in other words, she's just plain got it in for you and/or Tony, or has something against Callan, or both.
