Just got a call from the mate, who just got a call from the school.

Callan punched another kid in the eye today.

He's officially starting all-day Kindergarten with special sessions with the guidance counselor on Monday.

Haven't had a chance to talk to him yet. I'm inclined to think it wasn't a case of him hauling off and hitting the kid without provocation -- Callan is not a physically violent little boy in general -- but at this point it doesn't matter with the school district.
