*HUGS* Naamah... it's a shitty situation to be in, but you did the right thing. Maybe this is the wake-up call they needed to step back from the edge.

and if it'll help you sleep, I just found this via priscamor and I know you'll appreciate, especially if you haven't seen the trailer yet.

Yeah, call me chicken, but I wouldn't go over there to talk to her about it -- that would just highlight me as the person who called the cops. You _could_ leave some hotline magnets around or something, I guess, but I wouldn't want to risk that asshole blaming me for his own behaviors or their consequences...

Plus you never know, it could be one of those mutually-abusive relationships. Wheeee!

I would add, document anything you hear or see 9with pictures if possible), so when the horrific does happen, you can go public with all the evidence (including your phone records of calls to the authorities, maybe that will set the ball in motion for public outrage and change.

I doubt it--but it has to happen SOMETIME.

Yeah, I had my camera in my fucking POCKET and did not think to USE IT because I am a STUPID ASS. Needless to say, I will not be making that mistake again.

Holy crap! For a moment I thought that was at your new place.

I'm so glad you're moving away from there.

Document everything -- and stay away from him.

You did the right thing. *hugs*

At least it gives her a chance to tell the police what happened. If you could download some info on victim resources and give the printouts to her sometime, it would probably work better than trying to converse with her. She might be too embarrassed by the whole thing to talk about it, but she can always read the paper later.
