You did the right thing... some human karma to go along with all the kitty karma you have.

Sooner or later that fucker will slip up and instead of him "owning" a woman's hot ass, his own ass will be under the ownership of some guy named Bubba with teeth growing out of his dick.

I'm going to apologize in advance here. You have hit a button of mine, one that gets hit OVER and OVER, and i am going to proceed to unload in your general direction.

NO ONE deserves to be sexually assaulted. Not even bad people. Prison rape -- like every other kind of rape -- is cruel and horrible and NOT FUCKING FUNNY. Two wrongs do not make a goddamn right.

(Plus, it won't do any good. Either someone is so unrepentant or sociopathic that the lesson they will gain from being raped is simply a reinforcement of the lesson they already live as their whole life -- "might makes right, the strong prey on the weak" -- or they're not that unrepentant and sociopathic, and raping them is a hurt and a violation and a horror, just as raping you or me would be.)

That it's such a casual trope/joke in this culture -- "he'll go to prison and get raped by some big guy", blablablah -- makes me nauseated and sick. That some people WISH rape on other people, GLEEFULLY -- even when those people are criminals -- makes me despair for the souls of

Americans have souls?

You're exactly right, of course, though.

Ugh! What a capper to a nice evening!

You 100% did the right thing. Once a domestic issue starts disturbing the neighbors, it's no longer "just between family."

Yeah, it was a lovely way to end the night, I can tell you.

Oh, and I'm in horrible pain today, so there's that, too.

Yeah, you had to call the cops. I heard fights going on for a long time across the street, but I never saw anything - until the night the guy was stabbed to death.

A) I didn't see him hit her, and this is Oklahoma, so unless he's genuinely done her physical harm, there's probably not much the police can or will do,

Hate to have to tell you, but it's not just Oklahoma - my sister and I had to call 9-1-1 on my mother's "husband" and we ran into the same sort of frustrations. We did manage to convince them to take him to the drunk tank, though.

Ugh. I'm so sorry- both that it happened and that you had to witness it. You definitely did the right thing.
