I think solitude has been given a bad rap.

So I went to the doctor, my Otorhinolaryxologis, yesterday and she cut this huge "stone" out of my right saliva gland.  The gland had been swollen for more than a month because the stone was blocking the duct.  It was like the hard golf ball, the gland, not the stone.  Infection treated with two rounds of antibiotics.  I originally had self ( Read more... )

This email came to me at work.  I did the math.  Almost $1.10 a day.  How will I use that wisely to help the economy?

No, I'm not trying to be sarcastic.  I'm serious.  What would make the most difference?

I other words, what could I do with a little more than thirty bucks a month to jolt the economy?

Last night I was on the deck late in the evening after a very rainy day and this is what I heard:

At least three different species of tree frogs.

Bullfrogs.

Crickets.

Former raindrops now just water drops falling from the trees in a light breeze.

Distant air conditioners kicking on and off.

Unknown life forms rustling in the leaves in my forest.
