I think it was aired out of order, because a big part of the plot involved them still being on the night shift, which I thought they got out of episodes ago.
I would've loved to see Cisco and Kara geek out and be bouncy together.
This current season of Arrow has been a slog due to the writing, but Stephen Amell continues to be so much better than I ever would've expected when he appeared in season one. (In the current season of Arrow Ollie's mentoring a new group of heroes very harshly by replicating the way he was trained--he's in an understandably bad emotional and mental state during this season for plot reasons... as is the audience watching it--but the new heroes suck and are so entitled that I can't feel bad about it.)
Iris's demand that they gaslight and lie to Wally is even weirder since "secrets and lies are bad" has been an ongoing theme, especially this season.

He really has improved substantially!
