stop dreaming of the quiet life

Feb 14, 2016 09:36

As you may know, my apartment is unfortunately drafty (due to a wall-mounted air conditioner in the bedroom that is not properly sealed), so it is cold as fuck in here today. It was nice and toasty under the covers, but I can't spend all day in bed ( Read more... )

The Flash was a blast. I guess it was faster to assume Earth 2 Barry's life than to make contact with him and convince him to help them. And you have to admit, Harry thought of it at the same time and was on board, though it went against his edict to not get personally involved. Great episode! I want everything in Iris's wardrobe.

Like, I get that Barry's idea was a decent plan, right until it got derailed and he felt like he was entitled to Earth-2 Barry's experiences.

Otherwise, it was a lot of fun!

I think I was so gleeful about everything else that happened on that episode of the Flash, I almost didn't notice Barry's idiocy. But, yeah. WTF, Barry?? Still, THIS is the show I love and have missed.

Yeah, overall, it was a lot of fun! I even forgive them for having Jay lie to them for so many months about how he lost his speed, because it gives Jay something interesting to play now, but I was just like, Barry, that is not your life! Give it back!

>>all I could think about was how that technology, in a few short years, was probably the basis of what they used on Bucky, and suddenly it was a lot less funny. <<

that would never have occurred to me. O.O and yes, that makes it not quite so funny. poor bucky.

rose is great. she needs more scenes. and jarvis with his recreation tie, hee. and whitney! she's such a good bad guy, and such a good antagonist for peggy.

i'm right there with you on violet, tho. such dumb, lazy writing. and i miss ana too! where's she been? why can't she get some scenes?

my favorite thing about izombie (besides ravi :D ) is that you think it's going to be a cute, fun show about a zombie girl, and then you turn around and it's actually kind of dark and intense. and i'm so happy the plot threads are connecting! and that everything about drake's "my mom's having problems with her sink" story was true. he's so cute.

Well, I am a touch obsessive about Bucky Barnes. Not quite at Steve Rogers' level, but close. *g*

And yes to everything you say about "iZombie." It's so good but also so surprisingly good at making me emotionally engaged!

I think Amy wouldn't ordinarily be into poisoning a dog, but the 9-8 just pushed her in so many ways. They were pretty obnoxious! I was okay with Charles being right, partly because he didn't really attack DWJ on things, just tried to upstate his own great qualities and friendship with Jake, until he saw that DWJ had planted evidence. At least that was my impression. I loved Holt breaking the pipe.

It didn't even need to be my Earth; I would've enjoyed Harry pointedly saying, "Welcome to Earth." I wanted to smack Barry so hard! What the hell, hero? The Earth-2 versions of everybody was great--I only disliked Reverb's weird hairdo--and I too loved the reto-future, kind of Deco-inspired aesthetic of its world. I guess Ronnie's fate across realities is to be roadkill? Maybe the police of Earth-2 have a close working relationship with the JSA, I dunno ( ... )

Oh, I know - I am allergic to cats and have plotted their deaths frequently when having to deal with them - but dog-killing is not a thing you can easily come back from!

I guess Ronnie's fate across realities is to be roadkill?

So he can be a Mulder clone on Earth-X, no doubt. *g*

I'm also thrilled that the commercials for the next episode have Clive saying that Liv takes on personality traits of the victims since for so long it seems that he still hadn't figured that out, which is an insult to the character.

*nod nod*

Plus, the longer they take to read him into the Team Z phenomenon, the worse that reveal is finally going to be for everybody. It makes me tense just thinking about it (I haven't seen this week's episod yet).

WORLD'S ANGRIEST FIELD TRIP CHAPERONE made me lmao. So agreed about Barry being the actual evil doppelganger stealing his double's life! And the excellent aesthetic.

Peggy being willing to brain-damage the dude skeeved me out anyway, but yeah, it's totally the first version of the Bucky tech.

I think given who Robert Wise's character is, I was less skeeved by it than I should have been? Which I think the writers were counting on, because they played it for laughs. But yeah, once you realize that this will be used on Bucky and numerous other people (Red Room initiates?), it really hits home how gross it is.
