Lots of family stuff going on right now, my sister and my niece are both in the hospital (for different reasons), my dad is having surgery at the end of the month...it's a lot and I don't want to think about it.

So. TV and books!

Oh wow, Barry's dad as Zoom makes sense! I thought the bits about The Hood were weird. Plus, I've never trusted Henry. I just thought it was leftover resentment from Dawson's Creek.

I thought the thing about the Hood was just to show it's a different universe! And also a cute Easter egg.

Barry's dad has the right build, I guess. Zoom is being voiced by a totally different actor, but that doesn't mean anything since his voice is obviously disguised.

Oh yes, totally enjoying The Flash and so agree about Joe treating his sidekick like that as he did with Iris in S1.

It's just so fun! But Joe needs to lay off the paternalistic bullshit. His partner's a fully trained police officer. He can try to protect Barry's secret if he must, but otherwise, it's not up to him to keep her out of danger for her own good.

i figured zombieism was a blood-borne thing, so they were treating it kind of like super high-powered aids or something, where bodily fluids were as big a danger.

livingston! i knew the actor sounded familiar! he turned out to be really threatening for such an unprepossessing guy. i was both impressed and kinda creeped out. i never expect the show to get dark either, and then it does.

i don't know how i feel about liv/major either - i think major is still a little too messed up to get involved with his ex - but they're really cute, and ravi walking in on them to tell them they can't have sex, and then apologizing for bearing bad news, was likewise adorable. and props to the show for having liv and major say "well, there are other things we can do", rather than going straight to angst and woe.

Yeah, I guess because it's blood-borne they can get away with calling it a virus, but I might have preferred them saying 'organism' rather than virus. *is nitpicky*

Yes! I was so glad they said that instead of immediately careening down into misery.

I never trusted Henry Allen, and that was only increased when the first thing he does after his devoted son finally gets him out of prison after over a decade of trying hard is to skip town on him. I will never stop wtf-ing over that. "You can't reach your full potential with me around," what?

I nearly groaned aloud over Clive's "Oh, I see, you bone up on basketball to make me look bad!". Dude, you fail as a detective... or even a human with regular perception.

Considering a scratch from a zombie is enough to zombify someone, penetrating sex certainly should too.

I feel like Henry's departure was more terrible writing than the actual character's motivation? And it'd be Earth-2 Henry regardless, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be Earth-2 Henry.

Right, which is why Ravi was testing the condoms. I just am quibbling with the use of 'virus' I guess.

I really enjoyed all four Ferrante books, and I hope they work for you.
