So I did a little internet research (thank you, Consumer Reports) and then stopped off at Best Buy last night after work, and now I will have a new Toshiba 32" LCD* television on Tuesday (which was the one I'd walked in looking for, so...), with a new blu-ray player (also the one I'd researched), both on sale, and they will take the old one away.

No worries. It was a pretty spur of the moment, think of it at 9 am, make purchase at 6 pm kind of thing.
