touch me once and you'll know it's true

Ugh. Up way too late last night but I 1. finally got them in bed together. sleeping only at this point, but it's a start. and 2. figured out how to work the final scenes without having to write a lot of big actiony plot stuff. I think. What seemed like a good idea at 1 am may just be more smoke and nonsense in the cold light of day. Still, I think ( Read more... )

gaslight anthem, tv: white collar, music, writing is hard!

When I saw Neal staring into the mirror I knew he was going to shave. I think I might've actually screamed said "No! Don't do it." out loud.

I agree on the Daddy stuff. Just that he told the story as, "He *confessed* to murder." is like a glaring neon light of unsubtle hinting. I'm guessing he confessed to somehow protect his partner/his wife/Neal. Sigh, plot really isn't the strong suit here but there's plenty else to love.

Yeah, that was pretty much my response, too. *g*

i mostly want to know why neal and his mom and his dad's partner whose name i can't remember had to go into witness protection. you don't do that just because your partner confessed to killing a cop. i'm not sure how i feel about that apparently being the big plot arc this season - i'm perfectly happy to be done with the nazi loot (OH THANK GOD IT'S OVER) but i'm not sure i care a whole lot about neal's daddy issues either. i just want to watch him deal with being a con man and a force for law at the same time.

and yeah, they're really telescoping his dad's actual innocence. hmph, show, hmph. altho i don't think jeff eastin is necessarily a big fan of subtle.

Yeah, there has to be some big-ass shady dealings to get them put into witness protection, so I guess we'll see. Not that I am actually watching this show for the plot. *snerk*

I'm just happy that the WC plot for the season is more person and not another go at international action and intrigue because I figure it'll give us better character moments and less WTFery. And I like Neal better without the scruff so I was pleased when he picked up the shaver. ;)

Yeah, they are much better at character moments than big plotty arcs.

I don't actually remember? This show doesn't stick with me. But I think it's something about what lines his father crossed and what he really did.

Sorry I can't be more help!
