someone recommended person of interest to me and said she thought i'd like it, but based on your review, i'd say no, not so much. is that the one where the one guy (i'm guessing michael emerson) can see crimes before they happen and sends jesus caviezel to prevent them?
(i'm 99.44% positive that one of the guys from fringe - i want to say "the older guy" because i don't know anyone's names - walter? not pacey joshua jackson, anyway - was on conan last night, because i was flipping channels and there he was.)

That was a great post by Laura Hudson, wasn't it? I saw it last night when Kate Beaton linked to it on Twitter, and it depressed the hell out of me but it was spot-on, I thought. I'm encouraged to hear that those books are getting bad reviews, though.
You found it fan-shaming? Huh, I didn't get pinged that way. Which part do you mean, if you don't mind me asking? (I read it last night and don't want to open it again at work, given the images. Heh.)
She calls the Bat/Cat sex "aggressively fanfictiony" and says of it, "And while as with all aesthetic opinions your mileage may vary, this does not look sexy to me; it looks like a creepy fanfiction drawing."
the review on AV Club descends into almost Jacob-of-TWOP levels of pretentious gasbaggery. Haaaaa, I know, right?? At least he was very self-aware about it, though.
I am going to start using "the opposite of Batman" as an insult. It must happen.
Hm, I haven't checked out Person of Interest yet, but I was intending too. Hm.
Yeah, the fact that he made it funny was a saving grace.

You totally should!

If you need something to help put you to sleep, it might be good for that. It is very serious and slow-moving and it has that cop show blue filter going on.
