I'm at work, which was probably not a bad idea, since I do feel a lot better than I did, but let me tell you, getting out the door was no picnic (violent coughing fits, boo!) and a nauseating subway ride made me reconsider. Hee! I love baby!Terry a lot, but things I love about teenage Terry include:

1. he has a mom and a little brother, and they're important to him (also, this means that Bruce is not his main provider of emotional support, which makes him a lot better off than most Batkids).

2. for him, Batman is about becoming a better person, not just atoning for his stint in juvie or for fighting with his dad (or not being there when his dad is killed), but about being a good person and trying to make a better world.

3. he has a life and friends outside of Batman, and if we ignore Epilogue (which I do), he manages it way better than Bruce ever did or could.

Great, but WHO IS IT?? Is it Michelle Williams? Also, why would people picture you as Xander?

1. Toph is my blind underaged girlfriend.
2. The first episodes I ever watched were "The Serpent's Pass" and "The Drill," and the moment during the second episode when they go underground and Sokka exclaims, "It's so dark! I can't see a thing!" and Toph responds, "Oh no, what a nightmare!" made me love her forever and I spent SO LONG waiting for her to finally show up when I watched from the beginning.
3. I saw this icon around a lot before I fell in love with the show, and I just loved her pose. And her hair. And when I saw the context of it, I loved it even more.

Oh, she's just some random pinup from the '60s, I believe. I don't know. lunaris1013 made the icon, and I liked it, so she personalized it for me, many years ago.

People might picture me as Xander because for, like, the first five years I had a livejournal, my default icon was of Xander. *points to icon on this comment* (actually, he's not even in character in that picture, but I always just thought of it as Xander anyway.)

Tim Riggins! Oh man, I have to admit, when FNL first started I was not impressed by young Mr. Riggins and never expected to love him as much as I do. But okay, what I love about him: 1. Texas Forever! with Street; and also the way he was all, "I will knock you out myself before I let you get injected with some crazy quack 'remedy' for your paralysis." I swear there was a Tim/Jason/Lyla threesome down in Mexico that the PTB DENIED us; 2. how sweet he was with Julie and later, with Becky; 3. the way he was with that kid Bo in season 1; 4. his DOG; 5. his friendship with Matt and with Landry and the way he and Smash finally worked out a way to be on the team together; 6. that he took the fall for Billy; 7. that he sent Becky to Tami when he knew he was out of his depth re: her pregnancy.

Tim Riggins is AWESOME.

I *lost* at the end of season 4- NO TIM NO! God they just tortured me with the Riggins drama. SUCH an angelic hard-luck guy! I know I would just restate all the points you already outlined. I'm stunned he doesn't get more Little Black Dress action in other fandoms- Riggins & Winchester, yeah, but he could work in a load of cross-over pairings. Ah, the under-explored promised land of Tim Riggins slash/het.

Dang.

Yeah, I'm not sure why he doesn't show up in more crossover fic, but then I think maybe FNL isn't that popular, so that probably explains it.
