1. he has a mom and a little brother, and they're important to him (also, this means that Bruce is not his main provider of emotional support, which makes him a lot better off than most Batkids).
2. for him, Batman is about becoming a better person, not just atoning for his stint in juvie or for fighting with his dad (or not being there when his dad is killed), but about being a good person and trying to make a better world.
3. he has a life and friends outside of Batman, and if we ignore Epilogue (which I do), he manages it way better than Bruce ever did or could.
