I love Chuck so much. I would be so upset if Captain Awesome was dead.

I was talking to a friend of mine last week about how Chuck is one of those shows where I love everyone on it and losing any of them would make me sad. I just find everyone strangely charming.

Last night, I was chatting with amberlynne while we were watching, and we were both, "OH GOD DON'T KILL CAPTAIN AWESOME!" So I was glad the previews for next week completely spoiled that.

I also love everyone on Chuck, and it makes me sad when people hate on Ellie. I, too, wish she got more to do, but it's not the character's fault!

Gina Torres IS Wonder Woman. And yet, I still have arguments with people that are stuck on the "but WW looks this way in the comics!". The only difference for Gina is skin color. Actresses with the wrong hair color were considered (who could dye it). But notably, many of those actresses, while being the "right" race, weren't freaking tall enough.

I could support Taye Diggs as Superman. Or was it Tyson Beckford? I made an argument years ago and I can't remember who it is I support. But it was one of those two guys. (I think it was Taye. Because I could see him pulling off Clark Kent and being adorkable without people expecting him to be exactly like Chris Reeve.)

Yeah, I've seen people argue that she couldn't be Wonder Woman because she doesn't look like the comics version, and feh, I say. Feh.

I also think having an African-American actor play Superman would be awesome.

The only problem is, Taye Diggs is the size of my pinky finger. Gina Wonder Torres could crush him under her fabulous red boot!!

...Which would kinda be in the spirit of the original comics, right? (Not the Superman comics I mean.)

LOL I had forgotten that (about Taye being tiny). It's that problem of being intimidating when you're tinier than everyone else. Only works if you have Wolverine's personality.

For about 2.5 seconds last night I was thinking my relationship with Chuck would have to come to an end. Captain Awesome - NOOO! So I was actually pretty darn ok with the promo department. They sure did come back with three excellent episodes in a row, didn't they?

Big Bang last night was so great. I totally want an icon with Sheldon wearing the hands and the words, "Hulk Sad". Hours of amusement there, my friend, HOURS. Also loved Sheldon's line about how not having ice cream for a root beer float meant they had a very different idea of what makes a good party than he does. I kinda agree with him on that one. Hee.

Yeah, I was like, I am okay with killing off Emmett, but leave Captain Awesome alone!

Sheldon was even more hilarious than usual last night! HULK SAD! And anytime he said PUNY HUMANS! ♥

I don't know if I'm okay with them killing Emmett, but the fact that they did had me seriously worried for Captain Awesome. Wh to the E to the W! and I really loved him last night--very amusing.

Yeah, killing Emmett definitely raised the stakes last night. I just never found him particularly amusing, and since I didn't watch Arrested Development, I had no lingering affection for the actor.

"You owe me 15 American cents." HOW AWESOME IS CAPTAIN AWESOME?
Very awesome! Except I didn't quite get that line.

And how happy are we that he is not dead? SO HAPPY! I can't even really get angry with the NBC promo dept for completely blowing the cliffhanger, because CAPTAIN AWESOME IS NOT DEAD! YAY!
I had to watch the promo in hopes that they would spoil it because I couldn't believe they would actually kill him off, especially after just killing off Buster. I mean...whatever his name was.

Me, I am still stuck on the AWESOME that would be ANDRE BRAUGHER as Professor X. And Jon Huertas as either Wolverine or Daredevil. Dule Hill as Reed Richards! John Cho as Tony Stark! Indira Varma as Jean Grey! There is even the suggestion of Michelle Rodriguez as a genderflipped Wolverine!
Ooh, some of those are pretty great. And some of those I don't know they are. And some of those seem arbitrary. But some of them really do make me go, "Dude! Yes!" I like that two people picked Sandra Oh for Jessica Jones.

But if they drag out the apocalypse ( ... )

Except I didn't quite get that line.

Casey bet him 1000 pesos (or some crazy amount) that he'd get out of the restraints, so the conversion rate makes it 15 American cents.

Heh. Yeah. I was like, OH NO THEY DIINT! so I was glad that they actually didn't.

Heh. Yes. The ones I like, though, I really like.

From everything I've read, that's not what Kripke intends to do. He's going to end one story and begin another. Of course, how do you follow the apocalypse? This isn't like Buffy, which had one every year.Sure, but that's before the network was wooing him to come back. And after they stretched it out last year because they got renewed for a fifth season, I am just... wary. They could do a post-apocalyptic ( ... )

Ahaaaaaaa.

Heh. Yes.
Some of them were like, "Well, this guy...is not white! That qualifies him to play this character!"

I guess? I didn't know some of the actors, or even some of the characters all that well. But there were many that really worked for me.
