Work was exhausting - if I hadn't had to leave to meet fleurdeleo for dinner, I'm sure I could have stayed later, and I scrambled to have lunch, so they are paying me a couple hours overtime for today.

Yay for a good show! I was SO happy that Oli came this time--I'd never seen him before. *^^*

I think the second new song usually gets called "Knew A Girl" by people-who-aren't-Tom? It's gorgeous--hope it goes on the next album, whenever that is. I'd love to hear it orchestrated. And I wish he'd played it at our show, although I got "Only Thing I Know", so no complaints.

Did you get enough of a glimpse of the merch table to have any idea if he was selling a full range of CDs? They were seized at the Canadian border when he came in (so he sold us "special collector edition" burned copies of the new live CD in Montreal, and that was all, other than Steve's albums), and I hope he got them back. :/

Oli is dreamy. I am not even joking.

And yeah, that's what the word is - it's a new song, so hopefully it will appear on whatever he puts out next. Isn't he due for a new album soon? Sigh.

It wasn't a very big table that I could see, but it really was packed in tight, so I never got close.

I second the "dreamy". Also brilliantly good at what he does. I love the cello so much. *^^*

A new album soon would be lovely. What was King of Cards, about a year and a half ago...? We got "Knew A Girl" in Montreal last year, so I've been dying for a studio version for a long time.

He played another new song at our show, and when we asked what the title was he said it might be called "American Spirit" but that he didn't know for sure yet.
