A long time ago, back the first time I mentioned the sekrit incest baby story, bexone said, I will bake you the cookies of your choice if you write that. FOR SERIOUS.

It only took me thirteen months, but I finally posted Full DisclosureToday, when I got home, there was a box waiting for me. I couldn't read who it was from, and I was like, "did I do ( Read more... )

that sam-i-am, sekrit incest baby, flove, tv: supernatural: episode-related, oh dean, you should totally write that

And seriously, Sam is STILL keeping secrets about Mary from Dean, so I think maybe he shouldn't be all accusatory there.

Oh, you're right! I wonder if/when that's going to come out. Huh.

authoritative!Dean is HOT.

Yeah, I bet that's something that'll get pushed because of the shortened season, 'cause they haven't mentioned it since The Kids Are Alright have they?

authoritative!Dean is HOT.

Even hotter than most flavors of Dean, which is saying something!

It was a melancholy episode. I was all over the Dean emotional stuff -- I thought it was a natural progression. And Sam was awesome in this ep, best little brother ever.

Yes, it was very melancholy, and since that's one of my favorite flavors, I was happy. Sam WAS awesome in this episode, though you can see how tired he is, how worn down by trying to save Dean. Sigh. *smishes them*

Sam did seem tired to me too. But of course, this is wearing on him, and he seems really worried about Dean coming unhinged -- I felt like Sam took a lot on the chin and Dean's increasing crankiness was so understandable. Oh boys.

*nod nod*

I think their bickering is a sign of how frayed they really are, how all the edges and facades are unraveling as the deadline draws closer.

Sam was TOTALLY awesome with the girl. Yay Sam! But I hate how Sam working alone feels like (dum dum da dum) foreshadowing. You know?

He really was. And he seemed so tired and resigned. *pets* I hope it's not foreshadowing, though I'm sure he felt like it was, or, you know, harking back to his six months alone. Oh, Sammy. *snugs him*

uh... what you said. :D i thought it did make sense, emotionally, altho we've already had dean's "i'm afraid, i don't want to go to hell" moment (altho "no one's going to get me out of this but me" was new) - deirdre_c pointed out that sam just seemed so tired, and he kind of did. clearly the whole thing has been completely draining, what with him trying to keep his brother out of hell and his brother not particularly helping until very recently. their bickering definitely felt like end-of-their-rope bickering, like they were just too frustrated and too tired to NOT fight. poor boys.

Yeah, he really did seem tired, and Dean's crankiness seems like a response to his own weariness and desperation. Oh boys.

sam just seemed so tired

Completely understandable, given that he's lived through way more than a year over the last year...

Sam is AWESOME with the girl, even after she's all disdainful of his rental car and his cheap suit. Oh Sammy, how are you so awesome?

He really was. I thought Lanie was pretty awesome too--nicely written, and the actress playing her did a great job.

if a little heavy-handed with the "people are connected but they're so alone" bit. Part of me wanted there to be some connection to the mytharc or to Mary's story, but since I've been missing the MOTW type eps, I can't complain.

It really carried over the theme of loneliness/isolation from last week's episode, which I found interesting. And I could hardly believe Sam got tied to a chair and forced to watch someone get stabbed in front of him two weeks in a row. I wonder if that's because of strike-jumbled episode ordering or whether they're actually building up to something?

Yeah, Lanie was almost like a throwback to season 1, where the people they helped actually seemed important, and not just cannon fodder.

Ooh, I didn't think of that. It's probably because of the strike, but I am willing to take it as a metaphor for his being unable to help Dean out of his deal. Hopefully the fact that this week he rescued himself is a good sign.

It seems a little heavy-handed even for SPN, doesn't it? But then again, one must never underestimate the anvilliciousness of a show that's willing to actually drop a piano on a lead character's head. ;-)

Argh, it just occurred to me it's even more blatant than that. Remember what the Morton House ghost did right after forcing Sam to watch someone die without being able to save them?

Yep, he told Sam the story of how he killed himself in despair because he was alone on his birthday.

Hopefully the fact that this week he rescued himself is a good sign.

Let's hope so!
