So I was trying to take a nap yesterday evening, and I had FINALLY fallen asleep, when the phone rang. It was my dad. "The Grinch is on," he says. "I know you like that ( Read more... )

First of all, I am deathly afraid of the Grinch. Seriously. To this day. I can't watch the special at all. I can barely read the book to my students. In fact, as a result, I find all of Dr. Seuss' illustration's creepy. That year Hallmark had a Grinch theme for Christmas? My worst nightmare ( ... )

Wow. I admit, I still have that same reaction to Pinocchio. *shudders*

I don't think Baptists would christen a baby, though it's possible.

Sigh. I guess I will have to change my idea around. I'd rather not reference it all than get it wrong. Thanks!

I did a little research, and I think there are some Baptist congregations that would "christen" an infant, but not recognize it as "baptism." Baptism occurs only with immersion and around the age of thirteen or so at the earliest.

We watched exactly the same TV last night. I still can't believe it's two weeks before Thanksgiving and they're already showing the Grinch. Next year we'll be seeing it on July 4th, I guess.

I know! It's crazy. I mean, wasn't the Wizard of Oz the usual Thanksgiving night movie on, like, CBS? For years? And Miracle on 34th Street after the Macy's parade...

...Dean invariably looks like a cop to me. And since I know Jensen can wear a suit, it's definitely a Dean thing and I kind of love it about him.

I always think the same thing. I look at Dean in a suit, and my mind kind of goes, "You know, THAT is a guy whose family is full of firefighters, and he went in a different direction and became a cop and worked his ass off, and now he's so fucking PROUD of his shield and tries so hard, but man... That suit just isn't HIM. Not yet."

Yes, my mind rambles. LOL

I meant to say I agree with this bit. *g* *loves comment editing*

I keep expecting him to have the short sleeved-shirt on underneath the jacket, you know? Not that I don't LOVE when he rolls his sleeves up, 'cause I really do. But you know what I mean.

Yes! A short-sleeved, twenty-dollar shirt from Target that he HAS to wear undershirts with because it's so cheap it's see-through.

...

Is it wrong to drool over that guy? LOL
