Shopping for Books Online

Since I've yet to find a Bookaholic Anonymous group, I've been doing my best to curb my book spending habits by purchasing used books. Mostly, I use Amazon for the convenience. However, recently I stumbled upon a couple of great (or at least so far in my shopping experience) sites for used books:

Green Earth Books - Thriftbooks.com
Better World Read more... )

I love thriftbooks. I bought a bunch of Y's board books there. And used books are perfect for him cause he doesn't exactly take tender care of them. ; ) Although I love used books in general...

I came to the exact conclusion that you did. Amazon's shipping charges will get you when you start buying from multiple shippers. I'll have to check out Better World Books. They sound great.

I also loved your Pride post but I am behind on commenting on entries.

So far my experience with both places has been great. I believe that all my books have shipped within one or, at the most, two business days since ordering them. :) I'm glad I'm not the only one around here who uses these sites.
