[games][movies][question] it all boils down to a crazy gamble

Went to see Avatar in 2D today - well, yesterday, too, but we had to leave before it ended since my sister-in-law went to the hospital. ;3; She's okay, it's just that the pregnancy is a little more difficult than we thought. Anyway, went back today and finished it, so ( here are my thoughts. )

video games, holidays, home, gaming, movies, in soviet russia recipezaar cooks you

UUGHH don't get Mirror's Edge, I played the demo and it was lame. XD Basically I recommend playing a bajillion demos to figure out what games you want. :O I can tell you that BioShock is way cool, though ♥___♥ And OH YEAH GET RESIDENT EVIL 5...... and LittleBigPlanet if you can handle the cute? XD OH YEAH DEAD SPACE IS COOL TOO.

Sooo continuing from that comment I left on your other entry... XD;; To get a PSN ID you have to hook the PS3 up to the Internet, yes. Though you can probably make a PSN account on your computer but I'm not sure if you can add friends that way?? I don't knowww but anyway I recommend using a wired connection as opposed to wireless, because you're less likely to get booted from online games >_> If you end up playing online WHICH YOU SHOULD, WITH MEEE

Oooh cheesecake. That reminds me that I was going to make a key lime pie. /random

Dead Space? WHAT IS DEAD SPACE ABOUT? I unfortunately don't have a lot of time to play demos before I go back to Japaaaaaaan, but I guess I could also play over there. Dur hur.

AAAAAND if I can figure out how to hook up to the Internet, YES, I WILL GIVE YOU MY PSN ID. So we can play together. Even if our time zones are totally whacked.

...omfg, key lime. Do you have a recipe to share? ;A;

AHHH Dead Space is about, um, a space ship that gets taken over by dead-ish aliens that you can only kill by severing their limbs. XDD It's REALLY AWESOME even though I make it sound retarded. ;0;

My recipe is totally a quick and easy version, because I can't cook anything fancy.... XD Let's see if I can remember this!!
What you need is:
Pre-made pie crust (I'M SO CLASSY)
2 egg yolks
2 cans of condensed milk
3/4 cup of key lime juice (tends to be in the wine section?)
So you preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Beat the egg yolks, add the condensed milk and mix it well, then slowly mix in the key lime juice. Dump it all in the crust, bake it for 10 minutes, then refrigerate. TA DAAAA :D

Prince of Persia is a good game, but has zero replayablity. I mean, you could try the new costumes but you'd still have to start a new game :( It's really pretty though and The Prince is hilarious. AC:Bloodlines is not as cool as the actual game on console, but it does bridge the gap between ACII and AC. ACII for the DS doesn't look fun...I played it for a short time but got bored of it.

Alright, good to know. I may skip PoP then. |D AC:B might be a must buy though, because I'm a total whore for AC stuff. El oh el.

Mirror's Edge may make you a little dizzy with the first-person movement. I know it did me, and I play all kinds of FPV games.

Bioshock is a MUST buy. I can't tell you how much I love that game, and how excited I am for the next one.

Also Resident Evil 5, because it's so hilariously cheesy, and yet so much fun to play.

That mirrors my thoughts about Avatar pretty much exactly... no new ideas, but some old ideas being handled pretty well. The real innovation was in the usage of available technology. You mentioned you'd seen it twice; have you seen it in 3d?

I haven't seen it in 3D. I don't know, but we might do that in Japan? With the price tag, maybe not, but I liked it in 2D. 3D seems like it might give me a headache with all the crazy flying and stuff.
