I had the first round draft pick for my fantasy football league, and it was a bit of a no-brainer. San Diego Chargers' running back LaDanian Tomlinson was at the top of everyone's list, and righfully so. Thus, I have composed an ode to my new star player, arguably, a most practical cat to have on one's team.

I'm sure Mr. 42 will be much relieved. Actually, I'm positive he will be very pleasantly surprised. This visit will mark the first time I've met any of my HP LJ friends face-to-face, and I will treat the occasion with all due pomp and circumstance (fortunately, the shofar fits nicely in my purse).

We might raise eyebrows if we discuss the difficulties of writing threesomes. But hey... (It's always been one of my anxieties to be sitting in a Starbucks somewhere discussing a plot point and have someone ask if I'm Lillith. Bonus anxiety if it's at work.)
You'll be interested to know that your photos had me signing back up for belly dance. I start back with the basics on the 17th. I'm excited. I enjoyed myself the first go around.
Oooh! A shofar, how very cool.

Having already been outed as a fanfic writer by one of Mr. 42's friends, my mortification threshhold has been materially raised. I'd probably find such an occurrence to be really cool :D
How wonderful that you're dancing again! I hope your new teacher is marvelous, and you're shimmy is back up to speed in no time! :D
djstagemanager brought the shofar back from Israel for us, and I occasionally carry it around, because who knows when you'll need to make a really loud sound? Last Rosh Hashanah, I went down to the breakwater at La Jolla's Children's Pool and played it at the ocean, just for fun. I ended up getting soaked by a sudden wave. I'm haven't decided if that was appreciation or the ocean telling me not to quit my day job.

Did I mention that I too am taking a bellydancing class starting in September. I'd been meaning to for some time, but the county finally offered one at a time and location that works for me....

I love that you're taking belly dance! Now if we can only get Eeps to find a teacher in Ukraine... Seriously, I've had so much fun with my class that I'd recommend it for anyone looking for another aerobic activity. Plus, if your teacher's anything like mine, you're learning a real skill, not just doing a "dance workout."
