I ended up doing a bonus shift distributing exams whilst covering for an ill colleague. Good thing my colleague didn't attempt that shift because I set a personal record for most number of students helped (147) in two hours, and loads of those students were picking up more than one exam. Sometimes you gotta take care of yourself! I'm sorry that happened though. Sometimes even leaving supportive words has been hard the last few months so I've had to pick and choose my spoons carefully some days.

I think you're more patient than I am. I know stress happens, but it's not okay to use your friends as release valves along a backed up pipe. I'm glad you're giving people space so you don't get whacked by the whirling dervishes in your life!

By the way, how's the Christmas carol coming along? Is it the silly one or the Egyptian politics one?
