Fall-like?
Yikes!
I especially love your hibiscus.

The Brown-eyed Susans are usually out in the fall... late summer.

You'll be seeing them soon!

So... do any of those have nice aroma? I was looking at hardy hibiscus, thinking about trying some here.

The Milkweed flowers smell wonderful believe it or not.
The lilies have a little nice light scent.
The Dahlias are too highbred... no scent that we can detect.
I've never noticed a scent from the Hibiscus... but there might be! I don't cut those. The flowers only last about a day but the bush gets TONS of flowers. It also can get huge.
The petunias have a scent.
The Phlox, Brown-eyed Susans and cone flowers - nope (except maybe to the insects)

Spring is the best time for aroma from the flowers.

Today, for the first time I noticed the scent of the coneflowers. Very faint, but not displeasing. I don't care for the scent of the petunias.

Notice that I didn't say that the petunias have a NICE scent. *grin* I don't like it either.

The coneflowers have a scent? I need to check that out.

Good stuff! I wish I had a place for a trumpet vine.

Did those irises live?

Yes, so far!

Put up a trellis or arbor and you can have vines!

They'll probably make it, then.

I could do that. I'm just not sure where. We've got some growing on a utility pole at the corner of our lot, but our neighbor keeps trying to kill them.

My dad has a spot in his yard that used to be for a clothesline. The kind that was two posts with a cross piece on each side. He put a little patio between them, with a bench and a birdbath, and trumpet vines at each post. It's very nice.

That sounds very pretty!

I don't know your property well enough to have ideas, but I know that you and Cyn have plenty of them without my help! *L*

So pretty.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to deal with the fact that my little flower garden just won't thrive without me being there.
*sigh*
