What: Kaito's still upset over losing his things in the fight. A little card magic for a little audience never failed to cheer him up!

Supposed to be on hiatus, but what the heck.

Sakura Kinomoto entered the cafeteria, and seeing Kaito and hearing the shuffling of cards made her feel cheerful. But of course, she had cards as well. They were inside her shoulder bag that she was carrying. Sakura had gotten a ham and cheese sandwich, and a milk carton. Boy, was she hungry.

But eyeing Kaito, she waved her small arm and smiled, saying, "Ah, Kaito-kun! Good afternoon!" Once near where his table was she asked with wonder in her eyes, "What are you up to with those cards?"

That cheerful, young voice... Kaito recognized it as Sakura's. He glanced up from his deck and grinned that patented Kuroba grin at the girl as she approached him and sat down. "Hey, Kinomoto-chan!" he said cheerfully (thought it was mostly poker face, he was still really bummed about his magic effects).

He shuffled the deck one last time, before he placed it in the palm of his hand and held it out to the young girl. "I was thinking about doing some magic tricks with them," he said as he quirked an eyebrow with her, "Care to help me by picking a card?"

Before she could respond, however, he transferred the deck to his other hand and fanned it out in front of her, encouraging her to pick one.

FFFFF, and I'm watching DC episodes while posting this up. 8D

Sakura closed her eyes, trying to feel some sort of magical energy from the cards like she did her Clow Cards. Even though it was fake magic, she didn't care. And plus, Sakura always had the best of luck. Finally choosing one card, she then closed her eyes again, as if she was actually 'feeling' the card.

And that, she was. She saw the card in her mind. She knew what card it was. Finally knowing, she put the card back without looking at it.

Ace of spades, her mind told herself confidently.

Kaito took the deck and shuffled it creatively (he was doing things with that deck that seemed physically impossible for a regular magician to do, as well. The again, Kaito was known for defying physics).

When he was finished, he placed the neatly stacked deck back on the table, before he turned back to Sakura and studies her carefully.

Without warning, he reached out and brushed his hand behind her ear, pulling a card out of thin air. He showed her the face.

It was the Ace of Spades.

"Is this your card?" he asked with a cheeky grin.

Joshua entered the cafeteria, a little pissed off after what he saw at current status of the dorm. Spotting Kaito, he calmly waked over to his roommate and asked him in a slightly annoyed tone, "Kaito, what happened to the dorms?"

Kaito glanced up from the deck of cards he was playing with to greet his roommate. "There was a fight below us," he grumbled as he shuffled the deck, "They caved in our room."

Getting more annoyed in learning that there was a fight, Joshua took a deep breath to calm himself down. "Who started the fight, and more importantly what happened to our things?"

Kaito rolled his eyes. "You're acting like this is my fault!" he protested grumpily as he shuffled his cards. "Atem and that stupid Frau got into a fight! There were dragons involved and everything."

Risa rarely went to the cafeteria alone but she had nothing else to do right now and she was boooored. Riku was out being mopey so she decided to go and find people who were happy to spend her time with.

Lucky for her, she found Kaito in the cafeteria with her. Wouldn't he be surprised to see Runt in her oversized handbag, sticking his floppy-eared self out of the top and sniffing as she moved. "Kaito!! Hi!!"

That voice... It wasn't difficult to recognize, and Kaito glances up from his card game to greet Risa with a grin. "Hey there!" he said cheerfully as he made room for her at the table. It had been a while since they had seen each other.

His gaze flickered over to her bag, where Runt was resting, and his smiled widened. "Do you bring him with you wherever you go?" he asked as he tilted his head at her.

"Yes, I do! He loves going around and seeing new things! This is his travel bag." She smiled at Kaito. She'd wanted an opportunity to show him just how great she was at taking care of him and now she finally got to!

"Do you want to hold him? I still can't believe you gave him to me. I promise I really love him. He's so spoiled! I can't wait for Wiz to see him!"

Kaito smiled at Runt, but not before giving Risa a playful wink. "It looks like you've been taking good care of him!" he said. It was kind of funny to see one of his former rabbits being kept in a travel bag, but that was Risa for you, and it was kinda cute.
