Where: Cafeteria
What: Kaito's still upset over losing his things in the fight. A little card magic for a little audience never failed to cheer him up!

Risa rarely went to the cafeteria alone but she had nothing else to do right now and she was boooored. Riku was out being mopey so she decided to go and find people who were happy to spend her time with.

Lucky for her, she found Kaito in the cafeteria with her. Wouldn't he be surprised to see Runt in her oversized handbag, sticking his floppy-eared self out of the top and sniffing as she moved. "Kaito!! Hi!!"

That voice... It wasn't difficult to recognize, and Kaito glances up from his card game to greet Risa with a grin. "Hey there!" he said cheerfully as he made room for her at the table. It had been a while since they had seen each other.

His gaze flickered over to her bag, where Runt was resting, and his smiled widened. "Do you bring him with you wherever you go?" he asked as he tilted his head at her.

"Yes, I do! He loves going around and seeing new things! This is his travel bag." She smiled at Kaito. She'd wanted an opportunity to show him just how great she was at taking care of him and now she finally got to!

"Do you want to hold him? I still can't believe you gave him to me. I promise I really love him. He's so spoiled! I can't wait for Wiz to see him!"

Kaito smiled at Runt, but not before giving Risa a playful wink. "It looks like you've been taking good care of him!" he said. It was kind of funny to see one of his former rabbits being kept in a travel bag, but that was Risa for you, and it was kinda cute.

"I take great care of him! He even sleeps next to me at night! He's making really good friendships with Yun-qi and Snow too, so he's never all alone by himself. That would make me so sad, to leave him alone by himself." She contently scratching the rabbit's long, floppy ears and smiled lovingly toward him. "So what are you up to, Kaito? I haven't seen you at all in a long time!"

Kaito reached out and scratched Runt's head as well. He gave Risa another soft smile. "Oh, you know..." he started sheepishly, "There isn't much to do on this island, other than practice my magic."

"Well, why don't you practice on me! I can make sure you're doing your tricks right!" Risa moved over to his table and plopped down, placing the bag on the table so Runt could jump out and hop around it gently. She waited patiently, hands folded on her lap as she watched Kaito. "C'mon! Or do I need to close my eyes or something?"

Kaito watched as Risa took the set next to him, and he lifted a hand to scratch his nose with a grin. "Nah, you don't have to close your eyes for this one!" he said as he spread the cards out on the table in front of her. "Pick one!" he said with a wink.

Risa giggled at his wink but watched as Runt tentatively hopped over to the cards. "Wanna help me pick, Runt?" The little rabbit came close to one near Risa's hand and the girl took it, keeping it face down. "...Do I show it to you?"

Kaito shook his head. "Of course not," he said as he pulled a marker from thin air and handed it to Risa. "Write your name on it!"

With he smile still present, she took the marker and scrawled her name on the outside of the card, dotting her 'i' with a heart. Then she handed it back to him. "Ok, done!"

Kaito took her card and shuffled it deep into his deck, before stacking the cards neatly in the palm of his hand. He held it out in front of Risa and gave her a serious look. "Alright," he said, once finger to his lips, "For this trick to work I need you to say the magic words with me, alright? You know what they are, right?"

"Uuum..Abra Cadabra?" She guessed, looking for reaasurance in Kaito's eyes. She didn't know of any other words but the serious look in Kaito's eyes made her giggle a little. "That's right, isn't it?"

Kaito's serious expression faded into an amused and mischievous look. "Exactly!" he said, before he reached out and slipped the very first card off of the deck. He showed it to Risa-- it was the card she had picked up and written her name on earlier, of course.

Astonished, she stood up and took the card from him, examining it. It was defintely her handwriting. "How did you do that?" Eye sparkling, she grinned at him. "Teach me!"

Kaito shook his head and replaced the card in the deck. "You're not a magician!" he said, before he brushed his hand by Risa's ear and produced the exact same card from behind it, "I can't teach you. Because a magician never reveals his secrets."
