"Riku!!" The call echoed across the beach as Tsuzuki came hurtling down the sand. He'd never been to a birthday party before so he was incredibly excited. "Riku! Happy birthday!" He managed to skid to a stop a few feet from her, his eyes gleaming. "Here, for you!" He held out a handmade card coated in glitter. He'd recently found the sparkly stuff at the bookstore. After he'd bought it, Tsuzuki had come to find that glitter was most amazing thing in the entire universe!

Hearing the excited voice from behind, Riku turned to see Tsuzuki nearly attack her in his happiness. It was contagious and she found herself smiling even brighter when he handed her the card. "Tsuzuki! Thank you! This is great!" Sure, it was a bit sparkly for her taste, but he'd made it specifically for her and what more could a girl ask for? She moved to hug him tightly, smiling. "I haven't see you in forever!"

Tsuzuki was grinning ear to ear as he hugged her. "So you like it?!" He'd had a lot of fun making the card. In fact, the glitter exploding was probably the most fun of all... only he had no idea that there was still glitter stuck in his hair from that experience.

As they pulled away he frowned, thinking about what she'd said last. The frown didn't last long on his face before it melted away to be replaced with a cheerful smile. "Then we'll have to do something together!"

Conan arrived unlike normal days, this time he had used his skateboard. Thank goodness that it was solar and this meant that recharging wasn't going to be much of a problem while he was Moksa. But today was just a party. He had to play the part of a child, because of it.

This ought to be real fun. That is, if Conan was really turning eight. But no, he was going to be eighteen, the first signs of an adult. However, he was in this...child body. It hurt him.

Kaito was very much aware that little Conan Edogawa's birthday was soon. Everyone else on the island probably thought the miniature detective was turning eight. Kaito couldn't prevent a smug smile from curling at the corners of his mouth. He was probably the only one who knew the truth ( ... )

Risa was the first to see him and she'd be ashamed if she didn't introduce herself. Something about him seemed familiar but she couldn't quite place it. Maybe he was that new boy she'd talked to about being his magic show assistant?

"Hi!" Risa waved as she moved over, the light breeze playing with the hem of her white dress. "I'm Risa, birthday girl number one!" She refused to acknowledge that Riku actually came first by like...a whole minute or something. Who cared?

Kaito stopped walking and waved at Risa. "Hey!" he said with a charming, patented Kuroba smile, "Kaito Kuroba! I think we've met over the network!"

He peered at the girl curiously, before snapping his fingers. "You're the one who said she wanted to help me with my magic show!"

"Yes! This is one third my birthday party!" She smiled at him, brushing her hair back. Maybe she had a thing for thieves, but Risa couldn't help but notice that this boy was cute. Not as cute as Dark, but Dark wasn't here and didn't even say goodbye to her...

"How old are you, anyway?" She asked, knowing that Dark always thought it was better for her to be with around people her own age. "Just....I'm curious."

The Undertaker trudged along the sandy beach, carrying a huge, box-like object wrapped a bedsheet on his back ( ... )

It only took Riku a minute to realize the Undertaker was here. She stared for a moment before grabbing Risa's arm and dragging her along with her to meet him. "Uhm...Hey!" The elder twin said with a twitchy smile, letting Risa stand behind her.

The younger twin just watched him and couldn't help but notice that this man definitely needed a makeover. What was he wearing, anyway? Geez. This was a beach party, not a morgue!

Riku just kept talking, though. "It's so nice of you to come! Thanks a lot!"

The Undertaker smiled and tipped his hat to the birthday girls. "~Happy birthday, Lady Riku,~" he said.

He looked around, a little uncertain of what to do. Usually, the only parties he went to were funerals. "Are you having a ~pleasant~ party so far?" he asked, since he didn't know how they were supposed to go.

Riku smiled and Risa just stood with confusion and fear in her eyes. Her elder sister nodded. "Yeah, it's pretty nice! There's going to be food soon, but...do you want a place to put that big box down?"

She couldn't see from here what the box was and was confused and apprehensive about what was inside of it. Knowing the Undertaker, it could be anything.

Linali had made her way down to the beach carrying a carefully wrapped soccer ball for Conan (little boys liked that kind of thing, right?) and the twins' gits: a pair of silver hairpins with light blue flowers on them with a note to wear them on a date with Niwa-san for Riku, and a cute lavender purse for Risa. The sea breeze felt wonderful against her bare legs; the Exorcist still wondered at not having to wear her boots constantly, and reveled in the feeling. As she walked towards the others, she idly wondered if her boyfriend and his other self would show up, waving at people she knew and smiling.

And it didn't take long to Riku to cover Linali's eyes with her hands, trying to make her voice sound more like a man (specifically, Atem) than her normal tone. "Guess who?" She asked, fighting the urge to laugh aloud. ((Faaaail, tiny post.))

She froze when her eyes were covered, stiffening even further at the voice. It sounded almost like Atem, but something about the tone was off. That, and Atem would never do that kind of thing; despite his love of games, she didn't think he'd ever be that giddy. "Um... I give up?"

Riku moved around to the front of her and smirked. "Hey! It's me. How's my Atem voice?" She asked, smiling at her. Riku considered Linali her very best friend here at Moksa and lately, she'd missed her a lot. "...H..hey, Linali, do you think sometime you, me, Atem, and Yuugi could hang out together? I know you three hang out a lot together and I just...um....am bored...." She stopped short of saying lonely and looked down, embarrassed.

Heiji had to come of course. Unlike Kudo, he would remember his birthday. But not as something really happy.. Cause it meant one more year that he wasn't back to normal... Heiji looked down at the floor when he noticed Undertaker.

Heiji facepalmed. 'I hope he doesn't expect Kudo to die anytime soon!" He threw a little glare at his roomie.

He let out a tired sigh. He thought he'd be nice instead of trying to play a trick on kudo, He trusted that Kuroba had something bigger planned anyway. He set his gift for Kudo on the table. 'I hope this cheers him up.' Heiji gave a nice smile towards Kudo direction and soon walked over to join him.

"Happy birthday, kid." He said ruffling his hair.

"Idiot," he smiled in his best innocent way. Maybe he was a bit upset that it was another day of being a little kid, but he was supposed to have fun! He was actually glad that he was actually getting presents this year, actually. It made him feel more wanted than he usually did.

He then gave the Osakan detective a small glare. "Say, Heiji-niichan," this voice was positive, yet at the same time plotting, "when's your birthday?"

"I'm surprised you don't know." Heiji put his hands behind his head. "I would have thought Kazuha and nee-chan would have atleast known and told you, or you over heard. It's August 16th." Heiji smiled alittle and went to get Kudo's present. "Here, hope you like it." Heiji handed Conan a book shaped present. "Thought you could have something fun to read on this island."

[The present is KUdo's favorite book. Four something... ^^;;
How I made the date goes like this. August and May are opposite months. Like, Jan/Dec, Feb/Nov, March/Oct, etc. My brother and I are May and August respectively. His is May 18, mine is August 6. If you don't include the months, Kudo's and I's birthday are two days apart. So, I made Heiji's two days before my brother's like Kudo is to me. =)]

Conan rolled his eyes. The idiot. He then looked down at the box and then stared at Hattori. His eyebrows went up as he smirked. "Hattori, you didn't." He started unwrapping the present as his face went gleefully. "T-t-this is...The Sign of Four, my favorite Sherlock Holmes book! Thanks!" Being all friendly, he gave the Osakan detective a hug. On his leg, because he was too short to reach any higher.

((ooc: Thanks, Laura. :D))
