Who: Open to all When: Sunday night, exactly one hour after sundown Where: The docks What: Summer fireworks are set off for the whole campus Rating: TBA.
Risa had been beyond excited when she'd heard about the fireworks. She was going to be there and she was going to look fantastic in case Dark decided to show up. Hopefully he would, because what kind of event was more romantic than watching fireworks together?
She'd chosen a light yellow summer dress with pink roses scattered around the fabric and a halter cut. Risa even found a pink rhinestone rose-shaped hairclip and secured a bit of her hair back with it. Spreading a bit of strawberry tinted lipgloss over her lips and rubbing them together in order to equally spread the gloss, Risa smiled at her reflection.
With a large blanket in her arms (And no jacket, in hopes that Dark would show up), Risa slipped on her rosy pink ballet flats and hurried off to the dock to scope out the perfect spot. Noticing that she was the first one there (since she had left early enough to try and find just the right spot), she spread the blanket out at the end of the dock, and sat down to claim that spot.
The elder Harada twin was still in their room when her sister left. She rolled her eyes and moved to secure the straps of her famous overall shorts. She paired them with her favorite white and red striped shirt, but was also wearing long knee-high white tube socks with red stripes at the top to match her shirt (just in case it got cold).
She hadn't spoken to Daisuke in a while and she was hoping to see him here tonight. With a backpack on her back filled with a blanket, she picked up the pure white kitten Snow and cuddled the fluffball to her. "Time to go, Snow! We're gonna watch some fireworks!!"
In order to get a spot on the dock as well, she'd left about ten minutes after her sister. She found a good spot near the shore and beginning of the dock then spread the blanket out and put Snow down onto it. Riku handed Snow a small cat-treat and watched her nibble happily at it, the purring able to reach her ears now that there wasn't much noise.
Daisuke had been out early as well, standing at the end of the pier and looking up at the night sky. He'd never taken much time to notice it, before, but now that he actually stopped and looked, he realized that the stars above the campus were strange. He didn't recognize any of the constellations at all.
And what was more, they were different from the night before. Daisuke had been looking at them yesterday, and some of the stars had definitely moved. In fact, if he stared hard enough, he could swear he could see them moving as he watched, much faster than the stars of Earth had ever moved.
Suddenly dizzy, Daisuke shook his head and looked away to the docks. His eyes widened in surprise and a smile broke out across his face as he happened to see Riku hurry past towards the head of the docks. Leaving the stars for now, he turned and pelted after her, finally catching up at the end of the dock.
The voice sounded odd and familiar at the same time. She turned easily and an immediate smile broke out across her face. "Niwa!" Her heart was pounding in her chest just from the sound of his voice. She felt like she hadn't seen him in so long, especially since it was hard from going to seeing him every day at school back home and here he always seemed so much more busy.
Sitting her bookbag down and scooping Snow up into her arms, she rushed over to his side (well, meeting him half way was more like it). As she reached up to brush a piece of hair out of her face, Snow lifted up to lick Daisuke's fingertips with a purring sound.
"Niwa, I'm so glad you came! Are you staying for the ghost stories too? Please say you are!" She secretly just wanted to snuggle up in his arms and if she had to play that she was scared, maybe she could compromise her pride just a little.
"Of course I am!" Daisuke answered with a grin, scratching Snow behind the ears to make the kitten purr louder. "Does that mean you're staying for them, Riku-chan?"
Sunshine had taken the view that being on the docks themselves wasn't necessary, and had instead parked herself on a blanket draped some way back on the grass. It also hadn't occurred to her to dress any way but normally, a bright orange t-shirt helped make her visible, thought the grass green jeans were somewhat less conspicuous, especially in this light. She reclined on the blanket, watching the sky.
She also had a small supply of her own baked goods (Killer Zebras, to be precise), in a tupperware container next to her. She slowly munched one.
Demyx had been making a beeline straight for the docks, wanting to be as close to the water as usual, but paused when he caught sight of Sunshine. That was some kind of pastry he'd never seen before, and clearly it would be a crime to let any new snack go untasted. Not to mention they looked awesome. And how come she hadn't mentioned those in baking class?
He casually wandered over, still eyeing the strange snacks, and flashed her a grin. "Hey, Sunshine. Whatcha got there?"
Still lying down, she lifted the tupperware, and the circles of alternating cinnamon-laced vanilla and coffee-laced chocolate, towards him. "Killer Zebras. Want one?"
The promise of of fireworks had lured Namine out of her dorm and into this setting. That, and the thought that she might run into someone or someones she knew.
Aside from feeling a bit like a fish in a new pond, this situation wasn't getting to her much. Her life before was nothing she felt she wanted to go back to, so she was treating this like a vacation or ..maybe a second chance.
She settled on a spot in the grass with a newly purchased sketching pad.
Sorbet groaned. She'd never really liked fireworks; they were loud, and rather dangerous. Plus, with someone like Yuuko setting them off, the whole place would likely be burned down...
She'd chosen to get some "normal" clothes do to the temperature. She'd found a blue Tank-top with a seashell on it, and a short jean-skirt. She'd also gotten some cheap white sandals.
"Oh!" she said, bumping into somebody. "I'm sorry."
Namine looked up at the person who had bumped her. Another girl. Her age? Maybe. She smiled.
"It's all right." she replied, making a few slight touches with her eraser. She wiped sketch pad slightly. "I'm Namine. I just got here a little while ago. Are you new here too?"
Linali had seen many fireworks displays in her childhood, but since joining the order it was one thing she greatly missed. She'd been horribly excited when she'd heard about it, and her enthusiasm hadn't dampened over the few days before it. She quickly slipped into a light long sleeved shirt and a black skirt with black knee socks before looking into a mirror. Dressing up in anything other than her uniform was something she never really thought much about either, but she decided a little variety while she was here would be quite nice

Cross found the littlest Li sitting alone, waving to her friends and decided to make his way over. He rarely changed out of his usual clothes, but he wasn't going to not give her an appreciative once over.
"Linali." He greeted with a small smirk as he moved next to her.
Linali looked up in surprise before giving the General a smile. "I didn't think you'd be out for this, General Cross! But I'm glad you're here; it's going to be wonderful." She noticed him glance her up and down but made no comment, managing to suppress a slight blush. She would never get used to him as long as she lived; he just had that effect.
"I can remember watching displays like this with Komui-nii when we were very young. My father used to hold me up so I could see over the crowd." She smiled softly as she reminisced. "I wish everyone else at the Order could see this."
For a moment, Cross thought of Anita the way that Linali had described the fireworks. When the late brothel madame was younger, Cross would do the same thing and sit with her mother to watch it. But the thought didn't linger, he had become sidetracked from seeing Yuuko to talk to Linali.
