Linali had seen many fireworks displays in her childhood, but since joining the order it was one thing she greatly missed. She'd been horribly excited when she'd heard about it, and her enthusiasm hadn't dampened over the few days before it. She quickly slipped into a light long sleeved shirt and a black skirt with black knee socks before looking into a mirror. Dressing up in anything other than her uniform was something she never really thought much about either, but she decided a little variety while she was here would be quite nice.

She left the dorms quietly, wondering where she should go to watch the fireworks. She'd heard Riku-chan and Risa-chan leave long before she did. Figuring most people would head toward the docks, she headed that way, hoping to run across someone she knew. As she approached, the ocean air blew against her face and she couldn't help but smile as it blew her loose hair behind her. In the distance, she saw Riku-chan standing with Niwa-san on the docks, Risa-chan seated on a blanket not far away. She raised her hand in the air, waving at them as she made her way over.

Cross found the littlest Li sitting alone, waving to her friends and decided to make his way over. He rarely changed out of his usual clothes, but he wasn't going to not give her an appreciative once over.

"Linali." He greeted with a small smirk as he moved next to her.

Linali looked up in surprise before giving the General a smile. "I didn't think you'd be out for this, General Cross! But I'm glad you're here; it's going to be wonderful." She noticed him glance her up and down but made no comment, managing to suppress a slight blush. She would never get used to him as long as she lived; he just had that effect.

"I can remember watching displays like this with Komui-nii when we were very young. My father used to hold me up so I could see over the crowd." She smiled softly as she reminisced. "I wish everyone else at the Order could see this."

For a moment, Cross thought of Anita the way that Linali had described the fireworks. When the late brothel madame was younger, Cross would do the same thing and sit with her mother to watch it. But the thought didn't linger, he had become sidetracked from seeing Yuuko to talk to Linali.

Linali looked back up at him. "I'm going to go sit with Riku-chan and the others. Thanks for listening to me though." She smiled, placing a hand on his forearm. "Have fun, General." She walked away, turning around once to wave.

Riku caught the attention of Linali and smiled, waving back at her friend. "Linali! Come sit with us!!" The kitten in her hands had perked up as she heard the familiar sound of Linali's name and scrambled onto Riku's shoulder, mewing loudly into the night. Linali usually meant Yun-qi and Snow seemed to want to have her little companion to play with.

Riku marveled at the bravery Snow had attained in just a few days. Earlier, Snow would have been cowering in the nearest corner, huddled up as tiny as she could go. Now she was crawling all around and meowing as loud as she could to try and get attention. It made her smile and she noted mentally to thank Linali and Yun-qi for their help.

Linali returned her wave and turned around with a sharp whistle. A short "nya!" answered her, and little Yun-qi peeked out from behind a tree. Linali crouched down and gave him a smile.

"Let's go sit with Riku-chan and the others!" Yun-qi jumped happily into her arms, eager to see Snow.

Riku watched as the little kitten's head peeked out and laughed heartily. With Snow in her arms, she simply stroked the kitten's head as she perked up at the 'nya' of her little friend. "Yun-qi's coming over! Are you excited?"

Snow perked up more and let out a loud string of mews, trying to call Yun-qi over more to her. Riku just grinned. "Heh, he'll be here soon, little one!"
