The promise of of fireworks had lured Namine out of her dorm and into this setting. That, and the thought that she might run into someone or someones she knew.
Aside from feeling a bit like a fish in a new pond, this situation wasn't getting to her much. Her life before was nothing she felt she wanted to go back to, so she was treating this like a vacation or ..maybe a second chance.
She settled on a spot in the grass with a newly purchased sketching pad.
Sorbet groaned. She'd never really liked fireworks; they were loud, and rather dangerous. Plus, with someone like Yuuko setting them off, the whole place would likely be burned down...
She'd chosen to get some "normal" clothes do to the temperature. She'd found a blue Tank-top with a seashell on it, and a short jean-skirt. She'd also gotten some cheap white sandals.
"Oh!" she said, bumping into somebody. "I'm sorry."
Namine looked up at the person who had bumped her. Another girl. Her age? Maybe. She smiled.
"It's all right." she replied, making a few slight touches with her eraser. She wiped sketch pad slightly. "I'm Namine. I just got here a little while ago. Are you new here too?"
She glanced at the girl's drawing. "Oh..." Looking up at her, she said "You've never seen fireworks? Really?" Even she'd seen them. They had big Firework shows for all of the graduates, so it was hard to miss them.
Sorbet sighed a little. "Well, they're ridiculously loud, and that can be annoying...but they're really pretty." She wondered how to explain it... "Well, they're like explosions, but not dangerous and really colorful. They kinda look like...really big snowflakes, and least some of them do.
She smiled. "It's pretty hard to explain them...you just have to see them, I guess."
"No, unless you have really sensitive ears. I had a friend who had to do that back home..." She could still remember Lassi's first reaction-she had ran around, screaming 'OH MY GOD WE'RE BEING ATTACKED' until Mokka covered her ears and turned her towards the actual show.
Sorbet giggled a little bit. 'She's really excited over this...' "Me too..It's been a while since I really saw them." Pausing, she added "Well, since I saw real ones. I've seen ones made with magic, but they aren't as nice."
Why did she seem so uncomfortable at the mention of magic? "Well, of course! It can be a really good thing! As long as..." Sorbet wanted to to continue, but the look on the girl's face told her that her current sentance might be a bad one. "Y-yeah, magic can be good."

She'd certainly never seen anyone with violet eyes.
So pretty....
She might well add Sorbet to the picture.

That was going to be a problem if she was going to draw any. She'd have to just memorize it all. But she was pretty good at that too.
Pretty explosions that weren't dangerous?
"I hope they start soon!" she said flashing a huge smile.

That's what the Organization used to call what she could do with memories - even if mockingly so. She hugged her sketchbook to her chest.
"Then, magic can be a good thing, right
