it's very hard to describe this week to people that aren't involved; to those who have never been apart of it. getting chills when playing state fanfare, partaking in all the traditions that have become so sacred, showcasing the series for the newcomers and giving it every once of blood and sweat you have in your body and watch their faces when it ( Read more... )

how much of what we do in life is in an effort to become someone else? whether we are aware that we do it or not, how much of what we say and do everyday of our lives is done to shy away from our real selves and create a faulty exterior made of some shiney, shimmery fabric that will distract others from who we truly are?
