The nice think about the unflown spare is that it's got the parachute canister in the front and the retro rocket back in the back. But I'm wondering about those boxy things on the heat shield on either side of the retro rocket pack.

Brings back find memories of the old Revell 1/48 scale Mercury-Gemini kit.

I think it was at the Udvar-Hazy Space Hangar that there was a Saturn V model labeled as 1/48 scale. And obviously at least 6 feet tall.

What a fun trip! I'm glad you're having adventures.

I found some fabric for your quilt at the thrift store. It's royal blue with white lightning background & skulls all over: bandit, Indiana Jones, pirate, etc. Should I bring it to you at GaFilk, or ship it to you beforehand? Can I email you a picture? [Rough estimate, it's about a yard per side.]
