I READ THIS ENTIRE THING BEKAH. lol I had to put that in caps. It was a lot but you really opened my eyes to things I didn't notice before. Like them both losing parents at age 5. How they came together, why they work, etc. I just love this. Best Chlollie Overview EVER. I'm gonna have to rewatch all the scenes now from S6 up. You do realize this right? And make tons of Chlollie vids ;).

You made me love them even more if that's possible!

You...just made me fall even more in love with this pairing than I already was. And you too so many words right out of my mouth. And yes, this is why I find it utterly, completely easy to believe that Chloe and Oliver love each other.

And the sidetrack of Lollie? Yep, you summed it up nicely for how I've always thought about it too--he was thinking of happier times when he was in a dark place.

I'm friending you here on LJ and on Twitter, just so you know. Your posts were that awesome.

thank you for the kind comment. Getting a closer look made me appreciate them more too. There's so much more than I originally thought.

aww thanx, I'll friend you back though I warn you I'm quiet as a mouse on twitter. Jenna's always bugging me to tweet. She just upgraded me to a twe (not a tweeter) for posting twice in one day. I haven't earned tweeter status yet.

Hi, we've never met, but I F'ING LOVE YOU FOR THIS. This must have been a ton of work and it is AWE.SOME. I'm saving both posts to memories.

The nice things about it is that it's kind of a retro viewing guide for me. I pretty much threw up my hands and gave up on Smallville during S6, so a lot of the significant moments you mentioned in S6-early S9, in particular, I've really only gotten in little bits and pieces through clips or discussions or recaps. So this is going to save me a lot of time when I go back eventually to rewatch the entire Chlollie relationship.

Thanks for posting this. :-)

thank you much.

If I'd thrown my hands up on season six I probably could have saved myself a lot of grief, but I would have missed some awesome stuff too. I'm still hanging in there, but glad this is the last season.

I wish I could sit down and quote many of the points you made, and cheer like a hooligan, and give some really thorough feedback. But I can't - and I highly doubt I would be as eloquent as you ( ... )

Also, totally agree with you on the Lollie rehash (disliked that storyline so much). What always struck me about it was just how little that was about Lois, and how much it was about Oliver and the emotional/mental state he was in, I saw it as his need to reach for someone who was an embodiment of his past self. A self that he thought he needed to be in order to be a 'hero'.

It really shouldn't have gone past "Crossfire", if EVEN that -- oh, writers, why do you do these things?

Anyway, it was Chloe that helped him to realize that there was someone worth fighting for in the NOW, that underneath all the booze and depression, Oliver was still worth fighting for. And that his scars, and experience didn't make him any less worthy. I believe he did the same for her.

I'm sorry to essentially word-vomit all over your journal but your post is so great, and I can't help myself. Thank you again :)

I really really love that Chlollie saved each other this past season. I was hoping that's how it would play. As a fan of Chlark I wanted him to have something to do with that moment, so I was pleased with that, but it was definitely having Oliver in her life that made her want to come out of that dark depression of not trusting anyone ( ... )
