So yesterday could have proven itself as the biggest day since I have been back in the states. I had to work all day, but I got a break to go to the doctor. Well today as I was attempting to assemble the piece of crap $20 bookcase I bought from Target, the plastic bag containing all of the screws and dowels ripped open and the contents flew through the air. So...out of pure lust for adventure...I road a mountain bike up a mountain today and back down toward a ralphs parking lot. As I am flying down the hill I see a large stump and branch that reaches across the trail. Knowing there is nothing I can do about it, I do the best thing I know how.... I screamed, "SHIIIIIITTT". A new thing not to do. Don't put a bag of microwave popcorn in a pot on the stove to try and cook it that way. Fire will come, flames start, smoke fills the apartment, and that 1000 euro deposit will start to dissapear....only 3 days before getting it back.

So facing the music hasn't been all that bad. I was deathly afraid to come back to Germany and face people after my decision to move back home. People have been really supportive though. The teens have been awesome...sad, but awesome. The people here in Heidelberg have been quite understanding....which is a huge relief. I feel like this huge ( Read more... )
