Oy! Wow. Two years this time since I've posted last. So much, and so little, has happened. For those of you who were wondering where I had gone, the answer was...nowhere, I'm still in the 'Burg. A Trip to the Movies
So, I decided to go see "Vampires Suck." There were a couple of chuckles, but the movie was largely apathetic and unfunny. The bright spots in the movie are when Becca's father Frank speculates that the Kardashians are responsible for the fisherman's murder, and when Becca's new friends at the lunch table speculate that maybe the Sullen family eat ( Read more... ) -

Night of Strange Dreams...
This morning I had a dream, most disturbing because I did not know I was dreaming. I had come home at night to an empty house. Nothing unusual about that, but while I was in my room, I noticed that the floor seemed it had tilted. "Is my floor tilted?" I wondered. No, I thought, I'm just very tired and imagining things. It's really nice, coming home and not having to do anything except be here and catch up with the people I've missed so much. Hidey-ho, Kiddley-diddleys! This is your Uncle Lane reporting live from Taji, Iraq! It is the thirty first of December, the last day of the year. I've spent the bulk of this year far from the bosom of family and friends. Nothing is going on here, and I'm glad of that. I will be home soon, and I'm even gladder of that.
