Hidey-ho, Kiddley-diddleys! This is your Uncle Lane reporting live from Taji, Iraq! It is the thirty first of December, the last day of the year. I've spent the bulk of this year far from the bosom of family and friends. Nothing is going on here, and I'm glad of that. I will be home soon, and I'm even gladder of that. I can't wait to get this day over with and start on the new year. I miss you all, and will see you soon.
