Solar Power . . .
It’s all done. We passed our last inspection yesterday, and I personally flipped the switch to turn our solar panels on. Actually, I had to flip that switch, because the inspector for the energy company told me that he is not allowed to do that. It actually felt really good to do that very minor task ( Read more... ) -
A huge step in the right direction . . .
My wife and I recently installed solar power panels at our home. Once we've passed the inspections (city and utility) we'll be producing, on an annual average, 97% of the electricity we need to power our home. It will take us about 3-5 years to pay off the loan for the installation, but after that we'll be totally getting free electricity. -
Happy Anniversary!
Today, I'm posting to wish my wonderful wife a happy anniversary. As of tomorrow, we've now been married for 22 years.
But, this comes with a feeling that I need to disclose some additional information about the reasons why my relationship with my parents collapsed.

Just a quick note to tell you that I suspect a new fraud scheme is in use. I got a call today that set my nerves on edge.

Well, it has certainly been a year. My wife and I were talking recently about all that has happened since Halloween 2016, which was about when we put the gas fireplace insert in the house, and trying to do the numbers.

RIP to an uncle . . .
I learned a little while ago that one of my mom’s brothers passed to his next adventure early this morning. While I can’t say he was someone I felt close to, he treated my family alright when we got together while I was growing up.
